Chapter 4: Kanker V. Ed Throwdown! Double D's inner fury and Eddy's final facedown (Part 2)

"I end my turn with a face down," Lee stated as a card appear in front of her. Double D was crying over Ed, as for Eddy he was determined to win this duel.

"My turn," Eddy drew his card "First, I flip my monster face up, say hello to Queen's Knight" The card flipped up showing a female knight in pink and red armor, [ATK: 1500/ DEF: 1600] "And since she was flipped summoned your dragon can't use its second ability, now I call King's Knight," A male knight appeared in orange armor appeared [ATK: 1600/ DEF: 1400] "and since he's on the field, I can special summon Jack's Knight!" another male knight appeared in blue armor. [ATK: 1900/ DEF: 1000]

"Since those monsters are normal summoned Slifer can subtract 2000 attack points from their attack points, and if their attack points hit zero then they are destroyed. Say good-bye to the King and Jack," Lee exclaimed as Slifer opened its second mouth atop its first mouth.

"I don't think so, I activate Graceful Dice," Eddy's facedown card flipped up to show a small sapphire blue fairy holding a sky blue dice. "This card allows me to increase my monsters' attack depending on how high I roll multiplied by a hundred." The fairy from the card appeared holding a blue dice, it tossed the dice on the ground. It rolled a short distance until it landed on a six. King's [ATK: 2200] Jack's [ATK: 2500] Queen's [ATK: 2100]. Slifer's attack hits both King's Knight and Jack's Knight. King's [ATK: 200] Jack's [ATK: 500]. "Now I activate Polymerization, by fusing my Queen's Knight, King's Knight and my Jack's Knight to call Arcana Knight Joker to the field!" A tall knight in black armor appeared on Eddy's side of the field. [ATK: 3800/ DEF: 2500]

"Have you forgotten Slifer's second mouth?" Lee asked as Slifer opened it's top mouth and launched a fireball at Arcana. Eddy smirks.

"Don't count on it," Eddy stated as Arcana used his shield to stop the blast. Arcana's attack points remained unchanged.

"How come your monster's attack points aren't dropping?" Lee asked growling.

"Because, if I send a card that is the same type of card your using to destroy Arcana I can negate that effect." Eddy explained as he discarded Panther Warrior to his graveyard. "Now, I equip Lightning Storm to Arcana," Suddenly Arcana's blade started to shoot off sparks. [ATK: 4600] "Next I activate Fiendish Chain!" Suddenly chains appeared around Slifer. It screamed in agony. "This card allows me to take away your monster's effects, meaning without Slifer's powers it's attack points are zero." [ATK: 0/ DEF: 0] "Now Arcana, slash that overgrown lizard!" Arcana ran toward the weakened god and slashed it in two straight up the middle.

Lee: 4950

"Hey! Your life points didn't go down!?" Eddy shouted.

"That's because I activated Spirit Barrier," Lee stated as her card flipped face up showing a mage holding a staff that's making a barrier. "As long as a monster is on the field during the damage step, I take no damage." Eddy growled.

"I end my turn with another facedown card." Eddy stated as another card appeared in the middle of the other two face-down cards.

"Eddy, how can you continue with this duel knowing that your life is on the line?" Double D asked his eyes were pouring with tears.

"This isn't the first time, look I focus on winning." Eddy replied. The Kankers started to laugh.

"Listen, your friend isn't fully gone yet. Until one of you guys take down all three of us, you can win your friend's soul back." Marie explained.

"See? There's a chance we can get Ed back," Eddy stated.

"But how can we win? They still have one Egyptian god." Double D retorted.

"Exactly! One god! Ed took out the first one, I took out the second one, meaning we can still win this!" Eddy stated. His speech gave Double D the confidence to continue. Double D smiled and nodded wiping his face off. He stood up and smiled.

"If you two soap opera actors are done, its my turn," Marie stated drawing her card. "First, May, Lee may I use your life points to add to Ra's?"

"It would be my pleasure," Lee and May said in unison.

Lee: 100
May: 100

Lee and May's upper bodies appeared next to Marie's body on Ra's head. [ATK: 11550/ DEF: 11550] "Now Winged Dragon of Ra, finish off Eddy's monster!" Marie shouted as Ra roared and launched a blast at Eddy's knight.

"Not so fast I activate the trap card Wabuko," Eddy shouted as three cloaked mages stood in front of Arcana. "All damage done to me is zero and Arcana is safe this turn." Ra's blast was blocked by the mages. Eddy smirked as they glared at him. "I end my turn, with one facedown."

"My turn," Double D stated as he drew his card, "First I flip summon my facedown monster card, Alpha the Magnet Warrior!" A warrior made of silver magnets appeared wielding a sword and shield. [ATK: 1400/ DEF: 1700] "Next I activate Monster Reborn to bring back Gamma the Magnet Warrior!" A warrior made of pink magnets appeared on Double D's side. [ATK: 1500/ DEF: 1800]

"When did you have Gamma in your graveyard?" Eddy asked.

"It was when I summoned my Machine King," Double D answered. "Now I summon my Beta the Magnet Warrior!" A warrior made of yellow magnets appeared.[ATK: 1700/ DEF: 1600] "Next I sacrifice all three of my magnet warriors to special summon Valkyrion The Magna Warrior!" The magnet warriors body parts disconnected and started to reform into anew monster. [ATK: 3500/ DEF: 3850]

"That's still not enough attack points to defeat us." Marie smirked.

"That's because I'm not done yet, I activate Premature burial! By giving up 800 lfe points I revive Despair From The Dark!" The same shadow monster that was once on Ed's field has risen once more on Double D's side of the field. [ATK: 2800/ DEF: 3000]

Double D: 4300

"Now I equip my Valkyrion with the United We Stand spell card. For each monster on my and my allies side of the field Valkyrion gains 800 points for both its attack and defense." [ATK: 5900/ DEF: 6250] "Now I activate the spell card Brave Attack! This card allows me to choose one monster and all other monsters on our side of the field are destroyed and their attack points are added onto the monster I've chosen. And I choose Valkyrion!" Eddy's Arcana and Ed's Despair From The Dark turned into yellow and black energy. The energy transfers to Valkyrion's blade. [ATK: 13,300] "Now Valkyrion is stronger than Ra."

'I don't get it, they still have Spirit Barrier on the field, even if Double D destroys Ra, his Valkyrion will be destroyed at the Damage Step of the battle.' Red Eyes explained.

'That's because when Double D destroys Ra, he'll use Valkyrion's ability to disconnect back into the monsters that made it. He'll use the new summoned monsters to finish the job.' Eddy replied.

'That's a well thought out plan though, there's one flaw. The Kanker that summoned Ra still has a facedown card on the field. What if it's Magic Cylinder and it backfires. Causing him to lose the duel.' Red Eyes questioned.

'If that happens I have a plan B.'

"Now Valkyrion, attack Winged Dragon Of Ra! Magnet Saber Slash!" Double D commanded. Valkyrion charged at the sun-god sword held up high.

"I activate the trap card Mirror Mail!" Marie stated. "This card gives Ra the same attack points as Valkyrion." [ATK: 13,300]

'This isn't good,' Eddy thought.

'What's wrong? Double D can still win kinda by destroying Ra with his own monster.' Red eyes stated.

'The Kankers just challenged Double D to a game of chicken.' Eddy replied telepathically.

'Chicken?'

'It's where two people charge at each other with all their might, if one person gets out of the way they chicken out.'

'So you think Double D is gonna miss an opportunity like this? Talk about casting doubt on your friend.'

'If you've know Double D as long as I have you wouldn't think that.'

Double D nervously shook as his monster and Ra were about to clash. On one hand Double D could get rid of Ra, although the Kanker's could have played that move to get the Ed's field empty. Double D was running the numbers through his head and the margin for error was 200 to 1. Double D decided not to take that risk.

"I activate Valkyrion's ability and sacrifice it to re-summon the monsters that I used to special summon it." Double D stated as Valkyrion turned its head in shock. Valkyrion did as Double D stated and disconnected back into Alpha, Beta and Gamma. They were summoned in defense mode.

"You blew it, Double D!" Eddy shouted, "The only chance we had against Ra and you had to blow it!"

"We still can win this, somehow." Double D replied.

"Still, you had an opportunity to defeat the number one strongest monster yet you tuck your tail between your legs!" Eddy shouted.

"There's more than one opportunity Eddy," Double D stated. 'Though the numbers are pretty slim.'

"Are you boy toys done talking?!" May shouted.

"I end my turn." Double D stated.

"My turn," May drew her card. "Prepare to lose Double D. I equip Fairy Meteor Crush to Ra! Giving it the ability to inflict damage to you even if your monster is in defense mode." Double D whimpered, but held his ground. "Ra defeat Double D and end his life!" Ra charged it's energy and launched an enormous blast at Double D. "Prepare for the rath of the Gods!"

The blast was about to hit Double D, until Eddy stood in the way of the blast covering Double D.

Eddy: 0

The smoke cleared showing Eddy standing up on his feet. Eddy didn't show no movements at all. Double D ran over to Eddy and tried to turn him around Eddy fell back at Double D's feet. Double D saw Eddy's eyes which were nothing but empty husks. Double D got on his knees and put his hand on Eddy's chest. There was no heart beat, no pulse, nothing. Double D's eyes widen in fear.

"No, no, no!" Double D shouted. His two best friends in the world were now lifeless bodies on the ground. Double D suddenly felt something boil inside of him, a burning want to defeat the Kankers. Double D was surrounded by a green aura, his face began to crack and with in the cracks flashed neon green. Double D opened his once more and this time his eyes were pitch-black with green pupils. He furrowed his brow showing his inner rage. "Kankers, I swear on my friends lives, I will win this duel."

"Oh I'm so scared, what are you gonna do show us your butterfly collection?" Lee stated.

"You won't be saying that when I win," Double D snapped back.

"Boo hoo, I end my turn. Make your last move." May stated.

"My turn," Double D drew his card, "I switch Alpha, Beta and Gamma into attack mode." All of his three monsters stood up, with angry expressions on their faces.

"Really? Your gonna take on Ra with your weak monsters?" Marie asked laughing.

"Yes, because I activate the card Eddy last played." Eddy's card flipped face up to show Graverobber. "Graverobber allows me to steal a card from any grave besides my own in a tag team duel! And I choose Ed's Darkworld Shackles!" A small gremlin with a tombstone and shovel on it's back appeared holding the grinning ball and chain. "I equip Darkworld Shackles to Ra!" the Graverobber slapped the Shackles on Ra who moaned in agony. [ATK:100/ DEF: 100] "Due to Graverobber's effect, it might cost me 2000 life points to use it but it's well worth the price!"

Double D: 2300

"Now Alpha destroy Ra!" Double D commanded as the silver magnet warrior charged at Ra slicing it in half. The Kankers reappeared on the ground with the lower half of their bodies. "Now Beta, Gamma end the duel for May and Marie," The yellow and pink magnet warriors charged at May and Marie punching them in the face.

Marie: 0

May and Marie suddenly turned into orbs of light leaving their Duel Disks behind. The orbs of light flew into the coffins meant for the Eds. The names on the coffins changed into the Kankers' names: Lee, May and Marie.

"I'm still standing Double doofus!" Lee shouted when she saw her sisters in the coffins. "And your out of monsters to attack me with."

"That's why I'm activating Eddy's final face down!" Eddy's facedown flipped up to show Beserker Soul. "By discarding my hand I can endlessly draw cards from my deck except Monster cards. And for each Monster card I discard, a monster that I select can attack again as long as that monster has 1500 or less attack points. I choose Alpha!" Double D shouted as he discarded his hand to the graveyard.

"If you draw a Monster card, you know your risking on one card draw. The odds are against you." Lee stated.

"No, Lee your the one with the odds against you." Double D drew his card and looked at it to see it was Cannon Soldier. "And fate has given me the card to defeat you! Alpha, attack Lee directly!" The silver warrior charge at Lee, its sword was held high. It brought it down with one mighty slash across Lee's chest.

Lee: 0

Double D's face and eyes returned to normal as Lee's last life points hit zero.

"Do you think this is over you nerd!" Lee growled as she was turning into a ball of light. "There will be others after you and your friends. So if I can't take you out, they'll send someone even stronger."

"Then we'll be there," A voice stated on the side of Double D. Double D and Lee turned to see Ed struggling to get up. "We'll be there to protect our friends."

"You said it, Lumpy." Eddy agreed, struggling to get up.

"No matter what happens, I have my friends to back me up." Double D smiled.

Lee could only growl as she turned into an orb of light, which flew into the last coffin, leaving her Duel Disk behind. The coffins were soon consumed by darkness. The Eds cheered, not for the fact they won the duel, the fact that they no longer have to deal with the Kankers. Suddenly a light emitted from the Kankers' Duel Disk. A card flew out of all three glowing Duel Disks and into the Eds' decks. The Eds each pulled out the card from the decks and saw they each had an Egyptian God Card. Eddy has Slifer, Ed has Obelisk and Double D has Ra.

"This is so cool!" Ed shouted admiring his God Card. "We are now the chosen wielder of the Egyptian God Cards."

"Your darn right it is!" Eddy shouted looking at his God card. Double D weakly smiled before falling back on the ground, fainting. Ed and Eddy kneel near Double D and looked at him with worry. "Double D, wake up!" Eddy shook Double D who only respond with a small snoring sound.

"He's sleeping the little dickens." Ed smiled.

"That sounds like a plan. Ed you get Double D home." Eddy commanded. Ed gave Eddy a salute and slung Double D over his back, walking off. Eddy walked off to his home.

Outside of Peach Creak...

A girl stood on the out reaches of the Cul-De-Sac. She was about the age of 14, she's tan with light sapphire eyes, long black hair that reached to the shoulders, a red floral print T-shirt, blue jeans and a Duel Disk on her wrist. At her feet was a blue creäture with black eyes. The creäture at her feet resembled a koala so to speak.

"Stitch this is our home now." The girl spoke. "We have to find these dark duelists and defeat them. So we can get our Ohana back."

"Lilo, gonna fight?" Stitch asked.

"Your darn right I am!" Lilo pounded her fist into her hand determined. They soon walked down into the Junkyard looking for a hide. They soon spotted a van, the exterior of the van is purple with flame decals running down it as well as a painted rear axle and a drop-shaped side window. The two travelers walked over to the van and opened the back doors. The interior of the van includes shag carpeting, stereo speakers, walls made from mock wood, and a water bed. Stitch ran over to the car seat and pushed the car horn. It played 'La Cucaracha' in a loud-honking noise.

"Stitch, we found our new hideout." Lilo stated.

In the skies of Peach Creek...

A red dragon was flying over Peach Creak. The dragon had on a red backpack, a Duel Disk on his arm, his hair was black with green tips. His under belly was yellow. His eyes were black and his face showed he was tired. He had been flying all night without rest. He soon started to descend at an alarming pace. He crashed into a few branches, getting a few cuts and bruises. He landed on the ground making a crater around him. The dragon groaned and grabbed his right arm in pain. He saw there was a huge gash across his arm. He sighed and took off his back pack. He was suddenly engulfed in blue flames. When the flames vanished, a teen was in the dragon's place instead. The teen's hair was identical to the dragon's. He was in a red jacket, blue jean shorts and dark blue tennis shoes. The teen dug through the backpack and pulled out a first aid kit.

He rolled up his right sleeve showing a huge gash across his arm. He opened the kit, pulling out a few bandages, a rag and rubbing alcohol. He poured some alcohol on the rag and started to wipe his arm, grinding his teeth in pain as he did so. After he was sure the wound was clean, he started to wrap his arm in a bandage. He soon put a piece of tape at the end of the bandage to keep it wrapped up. He put the first aid kit back in his backpack. The teen laid back on a tree and sighed as he looked at the Duel Disk on his left arm.

"No matter what happens, I'll save them. I'll save you gramps." The teen stated as he start to get a blanket out of his backpack. He soon started to drift off to sleep covering himself with the blanket.

In the forest, next to the cul-de-sac, multiple sounds could be heard.

Chirps and tweets, some squeaks, and lastly... a girl?

" Come on, Kuribo. We been walking for days. Can we rest now? " A girl named King Lyonia pleaded, her tired eyes being an example. The fluffy, fur ball turned to the girl, making high hums and purring noises. Like, it was replying to her question. The mutt smiled for joy, finally stopping to rest. " Thanks, Kuribo."

She looked up at the sky, seeing that it was becoming dark. King than hung her head in defeat.

Giving a long sigh, she turned to the birds that accompanied her and said, " but now we have to find shelter. "

With her head hung once again, they continued to travel through the woods.

As the moon began to rise to the sky above, the young mutt still continued her search. The others had already found shelter in the trees long ago, but king needed something bigger.

' Oh, what I wouldn't do for a bed. ' King thought tiredly, her mind already going fogging. But as she began to dream, memories filled up her thoughts.

Fire started to grow, people were screaming, running for shelter. Children cried asthey watched their homes burned to ash. Everything was complete chaos from what the poor mutt could see. As the liog stood in front of what she once called home, a woman with red hair laughed at the mutt from her spot on the roof. She laughed, pointing at finger at King with a demonic smile. But out of nowhere, all at once,everyone stopped at their tracks, turned to her. Classmates, teachers, her family, and even complete strangers, stopped to stare at her. They all seem so angry. Why, why so angry? As if to answer, her father stepped forward, pointing at her like the woman, and yelled. Yelling at her, saying she was to blame. At that instant, everything became a blur. People screaming at her, hitting her, trying to kill her. King cried, running for her life as her own blood and others tried to end her. She screamed for them to stop.

Stop!

Please, stop!

Stop, stop...

" Stop!"

Tears ran down the liog's face as she jolted up. Looking around, King realized that she had accidentally stopped and rest on the side of a tree. Letting her nightmares consume her. Flashes of the memories still continued, faces of pure hated and blood lust appear, disappear, and reappear again. But the ones that she saw the most, her family. The disguise, hatred, disappointme-

' Can we please stop talking about them? They were already like that before the incident, I don't need to hear more. '

Sorry...

Taking a deep breath, the young mutt turned to her left, looking at Kuribo. He flowed there, just looking at her. Tilting her head, the liog gave him a sweet smile.

As she smiled at him sweetly, she said," I bet you know what I mean, don't you Kuribo. " The mutt looked down, her sweet smile turning bitter, as she shook her head left and right. With her head still hung, King looked back at the little fur ball and with a sad chuckle, " but then again, you were a toy. "

Kuribo moved towards the girl, letting her hug him. But as the hug continued, the little creature became more and more lifeless. King looked down at him, only to find a plushie toy of the little guy. With Kuribo gone, a bag mysteriously appeared next to the girl's leg. Picking the bag up, the young girl leaned against the tree, tired as she looked up. Only to find what she needed, a tree house. The color was debatable, but other than that, she could stay there for the night.

Placing the kuribo toy in the bag, the young girl began to climb up. King took a deep breath as she finally managed to get to the top. Looking around, she found a mirror, hoping that she'd have a look at how the trip took its toll on her. Her semi-long, dark hair a mess, dark bags under her colorful, rainbow like eyes, tan skin dry and dirty, like her clothes, with rips in her black long sleeve and navy blue jeans. Yup, she's going to need to shower and sew all of this in the morning.

Dropping her bag near the door, King found a comfy spot on the floor (hey that rhymed). Finally ready to take a nap, she turned into her liog form and lie down. But before sleep consumed her, one thought came to mind.

' If I'm going to live a new life, I must find the one that seems slow, but is very wise from within. At least, that's what Big Brother said. '

What Big Brother said...

On the streets of the Cul-De-Sac...

A girl was walking on the sidewalk with her head held down. She looked to be the age of 14. Her hair was raven black, her eyes were sapphire blue, she wore a dark blue hoodie and a red skirt. Her left arm had a Duel Disk on it, and in her right hand, she was holding a tote bag. Tears were streaming down her face.

"Danny, I'm sorry I couldn't save you." She said as she kept walking. She stopped when she saw an old abandon house with a for sale sign. She started to walk on the path to the house. When she got to the door, she turned the knob and found the door to be locked. She looked around to see if anyone was around, there wasn't. She suddenly turned transparent and walked through the door while it was still closed. She walked in and dropped her bag on the near by floor. "Looks like this will have to do." She sat down on a bed sheet covered couch and fell asleep.

In a dark castle...

In a room that didn't have the glow of an average room. A lone figure was playing chess. He had pure white hair, a black cloak covering his body. He had pure sapphire eyes and pale white skin. The figure smiled as he placed the white pieces on the opposite side of which he was sitting. Suddenly on his side of the board darkness created his chess pieces. The white pieces came to life and slaughtered the black pawns. He growled in anger.

"All the pieces are in place. The pawns are almost finished, meaning I might have to sacrifice a knight." He stated in a raspy voice. A hooded figure walked over to the white-haired person.

"Master, we have reason to believe the Kankers have failed." He stated in a Wisconsin accent.

"Once again you tell me something I'm well aware of." The white hair man stated an anger.

"May I ask, how did you get the Kankers to duel their crushes?" The Wisconsin man asked.

"It's easy to manipulate a person just by tempting them or changing their love to tough love." The master stated as he didn't make eye contact.

"Master, may I ask if I could challenge these Eds to a Duel. Taking them out will be as easy as robbing a jewelry store." The Wisconsin Man asked.

"I need to sacrifice a knight not a bishop, Vlad." The master stated

Behold chapter 4. Who are these new people coming to the Cul-De-Sac? Who are these mysterious kids coming to the Cul-De-Sac. And It seem Double D's tapped into his inner rage, will he do it again in case of danger. Also if there were any errors I'm sorry for that, I just didn't want too wait for my beta-reader.
